Partners, Lily Whitehead and Eva Makstutis, create a safe haven for all forms of expressive arts that invites women- whether they’re artists, dancers, writers, mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers- who simply want to explore their creative side and spread their creative spirit wings. Mariposa celebrates women and supports our ever-evolving transformation. It is a breathing- space, a co-op community, with offerings that include forays into personal growth and creative adventures.
EVER-EVOLVING MENU:
Movement Classes in Hatha Yoga and NIA Dance· Henna Body Art by appointment and henna for hair workshops Book Arts· Individual and group creative projects· Creative Writing, Inspired Journal, Poetry· Workshops for personal growth and alternative healing therapies· Visual and Performance Art Mariposa is available for rental to women who are interested in becoming “flight companions” either for their own explorations or to offer inspiring workshops to other women in our community. Some possibilities are: painting, collage, jewelry-making, mixed-media, writing, dance, holistic practices, Reiki, aromatherapy, lectures, theatre, improvisation, etc. It is also available for small gatherings that celebrate women in transition: baby and wedding showers, milestone birthdays as well as small business ventures: cosmetic sales, clothing/trunk shows, lingerie parties, photo shoots by women photographers, etc.
We invite you to come take flight with us! Contact us for more information or interest in becoming a “flight companion” for your event at our beautiful, reasonably priced studio.

Clean out your closet and drawers, bring the items you no longer want or wear. Items can include clothing, accessories,shoes etc.

Join us to create a vision board of your hopes for your future. Bring personal items you`d like to include on your board such as photos of special people in your life. We furnish all other supplies.

Join us to build your own personal journal from scratch for your daily journaling, scrapbooking & memory keeping. We furnish all supplies, feel free to bring any items you wish to use in personalizing your journal.

March 25, 7pm- Writer`s Salon

This group meets every 4th Thursday evening to share, advise, and provide support in furthering creatve writing endeavors. Hosted by former Stivers High School creative writing teacher Eva Makstutis. If you have interest in joining this group please contact Eva at Feathereve@aol.com
